Soft iron groups with a tiny head
Used above all to fix the painting to the wooden passepartout in the case that the painting is made up of a canvas on a stretche bar frame.
In this case the nail must be nailed partially on the wood of the passepartout and then bent over the stretcher bar frame so as to keep it pressed against the passepartout.
Soft iron allows you to bend the nail without breaking it.
